Last year, through Craft Hope, I was able to donate a couple of red scarves to orphans here in the US who had aged out of the system AND had made it into college!
This year Craft Hope has partnered with Orphan Outreach to collect handmade bracelets for orphans in Russia.
I'll let you go to the Craft Hope site for more information but here's a couple statistics for you:
In Russia, 60% of girl orphans become prostitutes and 70% of male orphans become hardened criminals.
